On celebration of world Optomacy day in School of Allied Health Science, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University organized an impactful awareness program focused on myopia control in children and the crucial role teachers play in this effort on March 24, 2025. The session was expertly delivered by Dr. Bharathi, Co - Ordinator of Allied Health Science, and our first and second-year student teachers engaged with enthusiasm.
This program provides essential insights into how myopia develops in children, its symptoms, and the proactive measures teachers can take to identify its early stages. Educators must be equipped with this knowledge to help combat the rising prevalence of myopia among students and in carried out by our student teachers to their student community in future.
Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Perambalur conducted a valuable free medical check-up for women from March-7th to April 7th 2025. Our second-year student teachers utilized the camp on 25.03.2025 in this initiative, benefiting from the comprehensive health assessments provided.
The check-up offered essential services, including blood pressure monitoring, diabetes screening, blood group identification, skin examinations, dental check-ups, as well as assessments for anemia and other women's health concerns. This initiative not only promoted health awareness among our student teachers but also highlighted the importance of regular health screenings for women.
Our Student had been participated the rally as“Alcohol Prohibition day” and awareness notice distributed to the people on March, 12, 2018. The significance of this day to encourage more young people aware of alcohol prohibition process and should be fallow all of us.
